Who we are

We are a team of engineers, software developers, mathematicians, computational designers and built-world specialists.

SUNBIM exists to build software for complex design and engineering workflows. Our work sits across AEC, renewable energy and infrastructure, where good products need more than clean interfaces. They need domain knowledge, technical judgement and a deep understanding of how real project decisions are made.

We have built several products together. Some worked, some did not. We have disagreed, rebuilt, improved and learned a lot along the way. That shared history is part of what makes the team strong.

Driven by the joy of tinkering

We like difficult problems.
For us, AEC and built-world software development feels like solving an intricate puzzle: constraints, optimisation criteria, geometry, data, user behaviour and engineering logic all need to work together.
The interesting part is not only the idea. It is the translation from a complex workflow into software that people can actually use. That is where our team does its best work: turning messy, technical, real-world problems into robust products.

We value curiosity, accountability and continuous learning. Taking initiative matters. Contribution is measured by what people take ownership of and deliver, not by how loudly they speak.

We care about teamwork, but not performative process. We have little patience for ego, politics or unnecessary corporate theatre.

We also sometimes update production on Fridays, with due respect to everyone involved.
